what i'd like to see:
Shadow form changes: leave the duration and recharge the same, make effect be enemy spells fail, +40 armor, +1..2..3..4 health regeneration.
it would still be runnable, still be useful, but no longer obscenely overpowered.

Phenixfire, don't be hypocritical. Your argument isn't really too well backed up either.
And contrary to what you say, it is actually a fact that a lot of Warriors don't even use SY. Why don't you go ask in the warrior forum? Even in pugs, it's rare to see SY!
Jumping to conclusions you think "I can't do pve without sy" really shows how ignorant you can be, just like all the other uneducated QQers who don't bother to shut up and find the stupidest reasons to complain.
I've played every profession with the exception of elementalist and have beaten all the games on most of the characters, and I've only ever had problems without it in DoA, which is broken anyways. Don't tell me I can't play without it, because your argument isn't great either. And if you seem to think the game is that easy and due to crappy morals you think "It needs to be nerfed because it's too powerful", well, imagine if in FF6, you weren't able to use Ultima with the double spell casting against Kefka. Sure, FF6 is offline, but PvE isn't competitive either. Unless it's meta-breaking with Ursan, Roj, and Permasin is, there's no real need to nerf it beyond dumb morals.
Lesson of the speech? All of it is morales on sense of balance
And contrary to what you complain of discord, I've found physical support better. Especially the Critical Barrage.

Wha what? Critical Barrage can shut down foes, heal/prot and summon minions, along with inflicting massive spike damage with near limitless energy?

No. The game is all about team synergy.
The key lies in your heroes.
Splinter Weapon microed, for example, is one of the most overpowered shits ever.
You, of course, being crit barrage.
And a good player can shut down others using D.Shot.

hearing alot of talk about anet removing heroes from gvg/ha..
IF they did this it would then make Hero battles look even more pointless and boring than ever before. not to mention, a good player has something a hero doesnt have. a brain (sometimes). while they can perform some functions well, like interrupts and etc. they lack the judgement of an experienced human player who can evaluate the situation in battle and make better decisions.

Guys, update isn't this month, but next. Reasoning? "Too soon", which could mean they don't have enough time for what they're planning.
Also, it's official that distortion will be attended to.
Brutal Mauling also won't be touched
Anet sez so. I was talking to Linsey earlier, but forgot to screen shot it.
Now suck it up and be patient guys. It'll probably be early next month.

Eh, nothing to QQ about; this is totally expected. In fact, I've already accepted that it won't even come next month, or if it does, in the 3rd or 4th week. This is what happens when the development team is drastically reduced - you don't even meet generous release dates and being massively late becomes the norm.

Yeah seriously, I've stopped expecting of them.
However, I'm waiting for Regina to ninja back "Well we never set official timelines for monthly skill updates so we're not technically late..."
But, I'd like to know where I can find this "confirmation" about the supposed Aug update? -_-

Shoyon, you can ask Linsey herself. She's also doing the update this time, if I understand it correctly. And judging from the convo, she seems have plans for augest and that it'll also be big. Which I'm fairly happy about, as I'd like huge updates and reworks every two months than shitty ones every month, full of dart board nerfs.
I'd say I'm be happy to let anet simply take their time and get things DONE.
But who knows? It wasn't an official statement. Just a conversation. For all we know, it may come this month and they may progress sooner than expected. But quality over quantity is the key, otherwise we end up with Hunter's Shot #2

Apart from Mind Blast, why would they nerf it?
They nerfed SH last balance now if they nerf MB they are pushing Fire eles out of pvp, and MB makes a different Meta, if we didnt have this all we would see is Me/N and Hexes....
|
A lot of buffs / nerfs are pointless and never needed happening.
How many of the WoH changes that we have been given have been neccessary?
If it was still the same spell with a flat out 106 + 106 heal, it would still see plenty of play and be very powerful, but we keep on getting changes that slightly teak its healing power by aound +/-10 points which is hardly worth doing at all.
I would like to see Healing Light, Withdraw Hexes and Amnity become more useful before other stuff keeps on getting nerfed.

even with the last update, i still don't find the updated paragon skills useful. They need to work on it more.

Same here.
Only one I use that really "revolutionized" the paragon is Go For The Eyes which has oh SO MUCH usefulness in a variety of builds. But the other skills like "Find their weakness" and such didn't prove themselves to be very useful... It would be nice if it was at least adrenaline based.
Also, mighty throw still sucks. They should just make it a Power Attack clone (5 energy cost, 3 recharge, NO SILLY CASTING TIME!)

Why don't they take a look at the well of infinite energy that the Mind Blast build provides before they look at Distortion yet again? The build can throw Rodgort's around like it's Flare. Of course Distortion is going to be amazing with it. That's the real issue, in my opinion.
Oh, and revert WoH so you can't self-target, and either nerf Patient Spirit's healing or make it so you can't self-target that either.
